Cathy Mittelstadt
Flagler Schools Superintendent Cathy Mittelstadt is an accomplished leader with nearly three decades in K–12 education in Florida. She comes to Flagler Schools after serving as Deputy Superintendent of Operations with St. Johns County Schools. Ms. Mittelstadt has also been a high school and middle school principal in both St Johns and Orange County School Districts.
Superintendent Mittelstadt has been a leader at each level in her career. Her motto of “Working Together” empowers everyone in the district, from those in an instructional position to those in non-instructional roles, to do their part to raise student achievement. Everyone has a vital role to play in our continued success as an A-rated school district.
Ms. Mittelstadt has called Flagler County home for almost twenty years and has seen the rise in engagement from our community. She wants nothing more than to strengthen that relationship in order to provide the best possible education for all our county’s children.
Superintendent Mittelstadt holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, a master’s degree from the University of Central Florida, and an Educational Specialist degree from Nova Southeastern University.
