Getting Started in Flagler Schools
Families who are new to Flagler County can begin enrollment online. After completing the digital enrollment form, contact your child's school to schedule an appointment to complete the enrollment process. Military families may also contact the Designated Military Point of Contact for help with records, course placement, transition support, and school connections listed above.

Support for Military-Connected Students
Academic Support
School counselors and registrars can assist with records transfer, grade and course placement, graduation planning, and connections to academic services.
Transition Resources
Ask about student ambassadors, peer-to-peer transition support, orientation activities, extracurricular programs, and other ways for students to build connections after a move.
Wellness & Counseling
Counselors and student-services staff can support students experiencing stress related to relocation, deployment, reunion, or family separation and can provide referrals when needed.
Enrollment & School Choice
Flagler Schools offers online new-student enrollment and a digital transfer process. Active military service is listed as an eligible hardship category for school-choice consideration when supporting documentation is provided.
ESE Student Transition Support
Flagler Schools supports ESE students relocating due to military orders by upholding the Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children:
- Immediate Placement & Comparable Services: Incoming students with an active IEP, 504 Plan, or Gifted designation receive immediate comparable services upon arrival.
- Seamless IEP Transition: Our school-based ESE team promptly reviews incoming records and conducts IEP meetings to align accommodations, related services, and specialized instruction without disruption to learning.

Common Questions from Military Families

Locate your zoned school, gather the required documents, complete the online New Student Enrollment form, and contact the school registrar to schedule an appointment and finish the enrollment process.

Bring the latest report card or transcript, withdrawal information, and any current IEP, Section 504 Plan, gifted plan, or other relevant educational records. These documents help the school determine appropriate placement and services.

Contact the school counselor, registrar, administrator, or designated military family point of contact. School staff can help with transition concerns, peer connections, academic planning, wellness support, and referrals to community or military resources.
