Flagler Schools has been named a Guy Harvey Conservation District for the 2025-2026 school year, signifying the school system’s commitment to environmental education through teacher professional development, experiential learning and environmental leadership. A presentation honoring the recognition will take place at this month’s Flagler Schools Board Meeting at the Government Services Building in Bunnell, Florida on May 19.

A senior enjoys receiving a scholarship

The Flagler County Education Foundation successfully executed its largest logistical effort of the year, the "Senior Scholarship Drive-By and Surprise Night," to celebrate Flagler Palm Coast High School & Matanzas High School Class of 2026. The event focused on honoring seniors and the incredible futures awaiting them by bringing scholarship news directly to their doorsteps.

Flagler Schools prides itself in striving to be the best in all that we do. This past week, the Matanzas High School Wind Ensemble and Flagler Palm Coast High School Symphonic Band 1 were the latest groups of talented students to fly higher than the rest. These groups both earned superior ratings at the Florida Bandmasters Association State Concert Band MPA.

Flagler Schools is being honored as one of the nation’s leaders in the instruction of college-level coursework and the successful outcomes for students.

The International Education Group at Cambridge, a partner with Matanzas High School (MHS) and its Cambridge Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) program, has named Flagler Schools its U.S. District of the Year, Small District Division.

When the isotopes settled at the Annual Flagler Schools Fifth Grade Science Fair and Science Competition at Buddy Taylor Middle School, there would be a Panther all alone atop the medal stand tonight.

Wadsworth Elementary School student Margaret Reiter took home top honors. Old Kings Elementary School students Leon Krawczyk and Levi Borg took second and third place, respectively.

Buddy Taylor Middle School (BTMS) Student leader Alexander Mangal has been awarded the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) Outstanding Achievement Award (OAA), recognizing his exceptional scholarship, leadership, service, character, and citizenship.
