Marathon Health was selected to operate the Flagler Schools Wellness Center. Marathon Health is dedicated to bringing quality health services to employees at the workplace by providing medical care, guidance to help better understand risks and conditions, and support to help people manage their health. Marathon Health operates health centers nationwide, with a focus on helping people become more active in their own health and healthcare and support people in managing their overall health.

No, you are not required to use Flagler Schools Wellness Center. The Wellness Center is provided as a resource for you to use, if you choose. Many beneficial services are offered that we hope employees will enjoy and find valuable. Benefits of using Flagler Schools Wellness Center include cost savings, reduced waiting time, and access to high-quality service.

You can continue to use the Prompt Care Clinic after we open the Wellness Center using your FCSD medical insurance.

Call Advent Health Medical Records Office at (386) 586-4340, follow the prompts to receive a link to request a copy of your medical records. They will text you a link to complete their online Medical Records Authorization Form. Or you can go to their website

No. Just like any other health information, your information for services at Flagler Schools Wellness Center will be kept private and confidential. By law, your information cannot be shared with Flagler School District without your written consent, unless you are being seen for a work-related injury or occupational health need.

Flagler Schools Wellness Center will partner with you to improve your health. By offering support, education, and encouragement, your Marathon Health providers help you care for yourself. The providers will help you set goals for health improvement that are in line with your needs and aspirations. Once you’ve chosen areas you would like to work on, they can help you create a realistic, actionable health plan. Some of the individualized health coaching areas include:

• Chronic conditions
• Nutrition
• Physical activity
• Tobacco cessation
• Stress management
• Weight loss

Flagler Schools Wellness Center will keep you accountable to your personalized plan and will celebrate your success as you accomplish more in health.

No-cost virtual appointments. See a licensed mental health provider virtually through our secure portal. With increased availability and access, for you and your dependents ages 12 and up. Your mental health provider collaborates with your Marathon Health providers.

While we do not offer well-child visits, we do provide services for dependent children age 2 years of age and older sick care and flu shots, as well as sports and camp physicals by appointment. Well-child visits are available through your child’s pediatrician at no cost through Flagler School District’s health plan. If you have not selected a pediatrician, we would be happy to refer you to one within the Florida Blue provider network.

Flagler Schools Wellness Center does not provide prenatal care; however, the Flagler Schools Wellness Center does offer well-woman exams. If you are seeking prenatal care, the Wellness Center would be happy to refer you to the appropriate provider within the Florida Blue Cross Blue Shield network.

If you have been referred to a specialist by a Flagler Schools Wellness Center provider, please follow–up with the specialist regarding your care. Flagler Schools Wellness Center would be happy to help you coordinate a visit within the Florida Blue Cross Blue Shield provider network.

If you have an existing Primary Care Physician, we encourage you to keep that relationship if you are satisfied with your provider. We wish for everyone to have a relationship with a PCP and Flagler Schools Wellness Center will coordinate care and share results with your current PCP, with your written permission. You can also use the Wellness Center for lab services and the results can be sent to your physician prior to your visit.

The providers at Flagler Schools Wellness Center would look forward to serving as your Primary Care Provider if you wish, or if you prefer, Flagler Schools Wellness Center can help you establish a PCP in the community within the Florida Blue Cross and Blue Shield network.

The providers can write prescriptions, if needed, for conditions treated at the Wellness Center.

Flagler Schools Wellness Center will dispense certain pre-packaged medications at the point of care. Medications must be prescribed by a provider during a visit to Flagler Schools Wellness Center. The Wellness Center cannot fill prescriptions from outside providers like a pharmacy, such as Walgreens. Flagler Schools Wellness Center formulary consists of the top utilized medications and the medications used most commonly for diagnoses in a primary care office. No narcotics or controlled substances are stocked in the Flagler Schools Wellness Center.

If the medication the Physician has prescribed you is not available in the Wellness Center, you can fill your prescription at your preferred pharmacy or through mail order, whichever you prefer.

The formulary is subject to change based on utilization, need and cost. To inquire if your medication is kept in stock, please call Flagler Schools Wellness Center at 386-309-2509.

Dispensing laws require that when a physician dispenses medication that they must see and evaluate the patient. This is different from the requirements of pharmacists in a traditional retail pharmacy. For this reason, an appointment is required to get a refill from Flagler Schools Wellness Center.
