Volunteer with Flagler Schools
We’re excited to welcome volunteers and visitors to Flagler Schools! Whether you're helping in a classroom, chaperoning a field trip, or attending a school event, your presence makes a positive impact.
How to Become a Volunteer
To volunteer at any Flagler school, follow these steps:
1. Submit a Volunteer Application through the Raptor Volunteer Portal.
2. Screening Requirements Based on Role:
Based on the roles and activities you select in your application, you will receive instructions for one of the following background checks:
- Level II Background Screening (via the Florida Clearinghouse):
Required for volunteers chaperoning out-of-county and/or overnight field trips.- Cost: $74
- Valid for: 5 years
- If you are already registered in the Florida Clearinghouse, you may not need a new screening.
- Enhanced Raptor Screening:
- Required for recurring on-campus volunteers who are not traveling, such as classroom helpers, reading pals, and event assistants.
- Cost: $18 annually
3. Once your background check is cleared, you will receive a confirmation email and be added to the Raptor system, which school staff use to verify approved volunteers.
Please apply at least two weeks before your first volunteer activity to allow time for processing.
