Dual Enrollment

Dual enrollment gives high school students the opportunity to enroll in postsecondary courses and receive both high school and postsecondary credit. Students who complete these classes generally take fewer classes in college and save money on college costs. Students who are interested in enrolling in a dual enrollment course should meet with their school-based guidance counselor.

Flagler Schools offers dual enrollment courses to high school students through the following institutions:

  • Daytona State College
  • Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University
  • University of Florida
  • University of North Florida

Dual Enrollment Books

As a Flagler County student enrolled in Daytona State College for Dual Enrollment, Flagler Schools has agreed to purchase required textbooks for each course. Dual enrollment textbooks, workbooks, and access codes required for dual enrollment courses are loaned to dual enrolled students at no cost and, therefore, are property of Flagler Schools. Kits, equipment, and tools that are kept by students must be purchased by students.

Students will either receive the required textbook from their home-zoned school or through a voucher to use at the DSC bookstore. Textbooks purchased with a voucher are still considered property of Flagler Schools and must be returned to your home-zoned school. Please note that if you purchase the books yourself, the district is unable to reimburse you.
