MHS Gets All-Clear after Swatting Incident
Matanzas High School was the subject of an apparent “swatting” call
earlier today. The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office quickly responded
and began investigating. Teachers, staff, and administrators searched
the school and found nothing suspicious. It was determined this was
not a credible threat and the instructional day of the campus was not
impacted. Out of an abundance of caution, additional deputies were on
campus, and the front gates were briefly locked. Access to the campus
was restored about a half-hour later.
