Bunnell Elementary Principal Timeline

Flagler Schools Superintendent LaShakia Moore announces a timeline and process for filling the open principal position at Bunnell Elementary School. Mr. Marcus Sanfilippo is currently filling in on an interim basis.

The position has been posted and is open for internal and external candidates. It will remain open until November 24th.

On November 16th, Superintendent Moore will hold a listening session at a joint Bunnell Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization and School Advisory Committee meeting, which was previously scheduled at the George Washington Carver Center in Bunnell. The greater community is also invited to attend. It will be held from 4 - 5 p.m.

Interviews will be held on November 28th and include an interview committee made up of faculty and staff from Bunnell Elementary School, representatives from various community groups, and District staff.

Superintendent Moore will hold a final interview with a finalist, and a new principal will be named the first week of December. That person will officially start work on January 2, 2024.
