I am excited to tell you that I am a proud Canadian.  I was born and raised in Ontario, Canada.  I graduted from the University Of Windsor in 1998.  From there I began the exciting adventure of being a teacher.  My first job assignment was way up north by Husdon Bay.  I was flown in on a bush plane (as there were no roads!) and I taught Ojibway children on a Native reserve.  It was a very exciting year filled with many cultural differences, including driving a snowmobile to school and having one store to shop for all of your needs!  I returned home the following year and continued teaching in Canada for four more years.

In 2003 I married an American citizen and relocated to the USA.  The past five years have been very eventful filled with many new homes, new schools and new faces.  Last year we finally bought our first home and settled down in Palm Coast.

In the past 10 years of teaching I have taught all grades from K-4th.  I have taught kindergarten for the last three years and it has proven to be my favorite grade.  I love teaching young children and watching them learn and grow up each day.  They are filled with so much excitement, curiosity and genuine love for learning!

I am happily married to my husband Ryan and we have a 2 year old son named Grayson.  I really enjoy living in Florida, but I can honestly say I miss the snow, spring and fall!
