Folders will be sent home every Thursday. They will contain you child’s work and other papers from school. Please review these papers with your child. The empty folder needs to be returned Friday.

HOMEWORK

Your child will have homework every week. A homework packet will be sent home on Friday and will be turned in the following Friday. The homework will reinforce the skills the children have been learning. Reading is always a part of their homework. The children should read every day.

SPELLING TEST

Your child will receive a spelling list every week in their homework packet. There will be 10 words on each list plus bonus words. This list goes along with the stories we will be reading for that week. The list will also be used for homework assignments. Spelling tests will be given on Friday.

SNACK TIME

Students will be able to bring in their own snack each day. Students do not have to bring in a snack. Please do not let your child have candy for this snack.

SCHOOL SUPPLY LIST

Your child will need to bring to school the following supplies:

1 package of wide-ruled loose-leaf paper

1 box of tissues?1 box of washable markers

1 package of glue sticks

1 pair of scissors

2 folders

1 container of hand sanitizer (the 8 ounce size, if possible)

3:00 – 3:15 Finish up work; clean-up
