About Mrs. Seaton
Clockwise from left: Me, my husband John, my son Nick, any my daughter, Katy
Although I was born in New Hampshire, my family moved back to my parents' hometown in Vermont when I was only a few months old, so I've lived in Vermont almost all of my life. My husband was born and raised in Vermont, as were our two children, Nicholas and Katherine. Prior to teaching, I worked in banking, bookkeeping, and as Director of Financial Aid at a small liberal arts college in southern Vermont.
About five years ago, we decided we needed a change. There were too many below zero mornings and, while snow is beautiful to look at and play in, it's no fun having to shovel two feet of it! We moved to north Georgia for a year, where my husband and I worked at a private therapeutic boarding school for adolescents with alcohol and drug problems. Although beautiful, north Georgia just wasn't the kind of change we were hoping for. My husband was offered a job as a school psychologist here in Flagler County, so in early 2005, we moved to Palm Coast. I decided to make a mid-life career change and returned to school to get my teaching certificate.
We love the warmth and beauty of Flagler County, where we live in the "R" section of Palm Coast with our orange tiger cat, Seamus. Our son, Nick, lives in Palm Coast, and our daughter, Katy, lives near Asheville, NC. I feel very fortunate to be a first grade teacher here at Wadsworth and really love teaching, especially the wonderful children I have in my first grade class this year!
