About Me...

My name is Lori Highsmith and I am the Math/5th grade Academic Coach at Wadsworth Elementary School. I was born in Van Buren Maine and spent the first 27 years of my life enjoying the beautiful New England landscape and weather. I moved to Palm Coast, Florida, in 1990 after taking a family vacation and falling in love with the cozy beach community.  

My husband, John, is also in education and we have two daughters, Shanna and Meagan. Shanna is studying journalism: visual communications at the University of Central Florida. Meagan attends Daytona Beach College where she is studying to be a kindergarten teacher.

I also attended Daytona Beach College where I received my Associates Degree and then the University of Central Florida, (GO KNIGHTS!!!), to complete my education with a Bachelors Degree. Currently, I am certified in Elementary Education (grades 1-6), ESE (grades K-12), and have an ESOL endorsement.

I am very excited about this year and I am looking forward to working with the staff, students and parents at Wadsworth Elementary School.
