November HOMEWORK CALENDAR 

Please work with your child in completing 3 assignments each week. Put a check in the box of the assignments you did.  Don’t forget that reading for 15 minutes each weeknight is required! Keep track of your reading by filling out the reading log. Everything gets turned in at the end of the month.

 Take a practice-spelling test. Or, go to spellingcity.com and take a practice-spelling test and play a spelling game.  Add the number three to each number starting with one and stopping at ten. Make flash cards or write on paper. (1 + 3 =___, 2 + 3 =_, 3 +  3 =  ___) Look at a calendar.  Count the number of Saturdays in the month. What day of the week does November 11th fall on?   Write your numbers in order (neatly) counting by two’s to one hundred. How many numbers are there in all? Write and tell three things you know about the 3 types of  Matter. No spelling test this week. It will be next week.
 Take a practice-spelling test. Or, go to spellingcity.com and take a practice-spelling test and play a spelling game.  Measure the length of your shoe using paperclips or buttons.  Tell how long the shoe is. Skip count to 100 by 10’s. Skip count to 100 by 5’s. Skip count to 100 by 2’s. Type your spelling words on a computer or typewriter.  You can even email to me! Or play a game at spellingcity.com. Write your numbers in order (neatly) starting with 10 and stopping at 40.  How many numbers did you write

Make flash cards or write this on paper. (1 + 4 =___, 2 +4 =__, 3 +  4 =) Write your spelling words 2x each, or go to spellingcity.com and take a test and play a game. . Write a story about the Pilgrims first landing in America.  Tell three reasons why they had a hard life. Retell one of your reading stories to a parent. Include the beginning, middle and end parts.
 Make a number line.  Start with the number 0 and write numbers on the line through 10.  Practice adding and subtracting using the number line. Monthly Homework is due.Thanksgiving Break begins tomorrow.  No Home Work No School     No School     No School
