Kindergarten 

Technology Classes 

  Kindergarten students are introduced to Apple computers and learn to use correct mouse and basic keyboarding skills.  They also learn how to log on with their full name and password, log out of the computers, and use careful computer procedures while in the Technology Lab.  

While students are in the Technology Lab, they use a couple of great reading website.  These website are starfall.com and cogcon.com/gamegoo/gooey.html  Students are introduced to phonics, vocabulary, and comprehension skills while providing a fun and enriching reading program.  

 First Grade

Technology Classes 

  Students in the first grade begin their year by logging on to the computer with their full name and password.  While in the computer lab students use a couple of great reading websites.  These websites are starfall.com and  cogcon.com/gamegoo/gooey.html   Students are introduced to phonics, vocabulary, and comprehension skills while providing a fun and enriching reading program.  

In the second semester, students are introduced to a great program titled Kidspiration.  Students will read The Four Season from the Reading A-Z series.  Students will use the Kidspiration program to complete a graphic organizer to include main ideas taken from the story.  Students will also include clip art, complete sentences with capital letters and correct punctuation.
