Second Grade Technology Classes |
Students in second grade technology classes complete an All About Me project using the Kidspiration program. Students include their likes, dislikes, accomplishments, family, and a self portrait. Students in the second semester will complete a butterfly brochure. Students will read and collect information from Insect Life Cycle. After they research the butterfly process, students will use a brochure template to complete their findings about butterflies. Not only will students learn the life cycle of a butterfly, but they will also be introduced to basic computer skills such as, highlighting, copy and paste, punctuation and capitalizing. |

Third Grade Technology Classes |
After choosing a folk tale story taken from starfall.com, students retell the story in their own words by creating a comic of the story. Students include pictures taken from the story, as well as the main idea, and their own picture explaining the moral of the story. Students in the second semester will complete a Deep in the Ocean brochure. Students will read and collect information from Deep in the Ocean. After they research about oceanography, and the plants and animals that live in the deep ocean, students will use a brochure template to complete their findings about their research. Not only will students learn about oceanography, but they will also be introduced to basic computer skills such as, highlighting, copy and paste, punctuation and capitalizing.
