 This is Mrs. Evensen's third year teaching at Rymfire Elementary School and she absoltely loves it! She graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Exceptional Student Education and has a Master's Degree in Elementary Reading and Literacy. She is certified to teach general education students K-6, special education students K-12 and she also holds an ESOL endorsement. Her true passion is teaching all students and encouraging their success in all academic areas. She believes that education should be geared toward each individual's needs and therefore many of her teaching practices reflect this philosophy. When not teaching, she enjoys spending time with her husband and baby boy. They enjoy taking long walks, going to the beach and watching movies.
   
Email Mrs. Mundo  This is Mrs. Mundo's third year teaching in Flagler County at Rymfire Elementary School. She also taught for three years in St. John's County. Prior to moving to Florida, Mrs. Mundo was also the Special Education Director at a small charter school in Rhode Island. Before teaching in public schools, Mrs. Mundo was a Program Clinician for an in-home program for children with autism. She received a bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education from Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island. She is currently working on her Educational Leadership degree. Mrs. Mundo believes in creating a warm, inviting but rigorous atmosphere for children to learn. She believes in meeting each child's individual needs as a whole child and involving the families as much as possible. Her passion is teaching children the social and emotional skills they need to be lifelong learners who enjoy school and being challenged. When not teaching, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, Catherine (in second grade at Rymfire) and Aidan (in preschool). She loves rollercoasters, gardening and reading on the beach.
