Homework 
Dear Parents, Thank you for your patience. We will be officially beginning homework next week which will be a cursive writing packet. This week, students were asked to buy a composition notebook and decorate the cover with pictures of things they like. They were also asked to bring in pictures of people who inspire them (family members, heroes, etc.) for Friday. The reading logs will begin in weeks to come following the cursive packets. Thank you so much for checking the site.
Homework Policy:
Homework is counted as a test grade at the end of each marking quarter and is based on how many homework assignments were turned in. For example:
0-1 Missing Homeworks = A
2 Missing Homeworks = B
3 Missing Homeworks = C
4 Missing Homeworks = D
5 or more = F
HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS:
EACH WEEK:
Read for 15-30 Minutes each day
Study spelling words for Friday's test
Have your planner signed daily
COMPLETE YOUR READING & WRITING LOG
Procedures for completing your Daily Reading Log:
On the proper day:
Write the title of the book you are reading
Write down the pages you've read in a chapter book of your choice
Write a 4-sentence summary of what the story is about in your own words.
Have a parent or guardian initial each day.

Write 4-6 sentences about the topic of your choice.
These logs are due on Fridays, Monday the very latest.
