This is my 3rd year teaching at Rymfire Elementary and I absolutely love it. I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Exceptional Students Education and have a Master of Science degree in Elementary Reading and Literacy. I am certified to teach general education students K-6, special education K-12, and I also hold an ESOL endorsement.
My true passion is teaching all students and encouraging their success in all academic areas. I believe that education should be geared towards every students individual needs and therefore many of my teaching practices reflect this philosophy. This year I will spend a lot of time getting to know each student, and doing everything I can to support their academic growth in all areas.
When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with my beautiful family, including my 9 month old baby boy. We like to go for walks through our neighborhood, play games, read together, and watch movies.

This is my third year teaching in Flagler County at Rymfire Elementary School. I also taught for 3 years in St. John's County. Prior to moving to Florida, I was the Special Education Director at a small charter school in Rhode Island. Before teaching in public schools, I was a Program Clinician for an in-home program for children with autism. I received a bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education from Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island. I am currently working on my Educational Leadership degree.
I believe in creating a warm, inviting but rigorous atmosphere for children to learn. I believe in meeting each child's individual needs as a whole child and involving the families as much as possible. My passion is teaching children the social and emotional skills they need to be lifelong learners who enjoy school and being challenged. When not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children, Catherine (in second grade at Rymfire) and Aidan (in preschool). I loves rollercoasters, gardening and reading on the beach.
