In third grade students are expected to have more responsibility regarding their homework. Students will be responsible for writing homework assignments in their planners daily. Homework will be assigned Monday - Thursday night. Each assignment will be due the following day. Weekly homework will usually include:
Math: a daily practice sheet that will review each day's math lesson
Spelling: weekly: Tuesday- words in a sentence, Wednesday- words three times each or ABC order, Thursday- study for the test
Reading: fluency practice daily, 1 minute timings.
Vocabulary: study words daily for tests on Friday
Please read the policies and procedures paper that is attached. A copy of this will be sent home the first week of school. It explains the grade level expectations regarding rules, homework, and how student grades are calculated.
