Welcome to Mrs. Cordova's 5th Grade Class

 Hello! my name is Jamie Cordova and I will have the pleasure of working with your child during the 2008-2009 school year. I have been a Teacher for the past 10 years. I feel that working with children is rewarding and fulfilling. I love the excitement that I see in the faces of my students' when they have mastered a new concept and attain the confidence they need in order to be successful in life. Teaching brings challenges and surprises each day; and no two days are ever the same. That is why I believe that Teaching is the best profession in the world!

I am looking forward to starting my second year as a Rymfire Roadrunner. Last year, I taught fourth grade here at Rymfire, so I am extremely excited to be working with the awesome students that I worked with during the 2007-2008 school year.    

My classroom expectations are simple. Students are expected to respect others and themselves at all times. We are all part of an important school team and need to communicate and support each other. I present material in a fun and interactive fashion and expect the students to welcome new concepts and information in a positive way. I expect all students to come to school with a "ready to learn" attitude and give me and themselves 100%. Students can always come to me with concerns or questions.
