Conservation & Preservation Awareness

• Our goal is to become more familiar with the Conservation and Preservation efforts and establishments that Flagler County has to offer, help in the beautification of area's, learn what they have to offer, enjoy what is offered, and promote information gained to the community through various outreach projects.
• We research then visit a particular area in the county designated as a Conservation or Preservation Reserve.
• First we learn what the reserve is protecting, as well as the wildlife, vegetation, and activities offered.
• Then we help with beautification efforts by scouting the area and cleaning up any trash or debris.
• Afterwards we then engage in enjoying and further learning about the area visited.
• Once back in the classroom we reflect on our mission and document our findings and thoughts in a science journal.
• Lastly, we will take this data and turn it into information that we can then promote to and throughout the community by way of posters, brochures, and public speaking.
