The 2008/2009 school year marks my second year of teaching in Flagler County at Pathways Academy. However, I have been teaching for over 10 ten years now in both private and public environments. This is how I got here...
In 1996 I graduated from The Chubb Institute in Springfield, Pennsylvania, earning a Certificate in Technical Support.
From 1997 to 2004 I was an instructor for The Chubb Institute. During this time not only did I teach various technical support, Windows, netwroking, help desk support, and hardware courses, but I also helped develop and pioneer new technical support curriculum. I then became part of the Research and Development department as well as becoming the department head for technical support. In addition to all of this I also helped open two new schools for Chubb, one in Cherry Hill, New Jersey and the other in Villa Park, Chicago. The computer and training certifications I gained during that time are as follows;
- Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
- Certified Novell Administrator (CNA)
- A+ Certification
- Certifed Technical Trainer (CTT)
Finally during that time, (2000 to 2004), I attended Neumann College in Aston, Pennsylvania. While there I earned my Bachelors of Arts in Liberal Studies.
In 2005 my family an I moved to Palm Coast where I became part of the substitute teacher pool and started gaining certification to teach in the state of Florida.
In 2007 I was hired to teach at Pathways and I am currently qualified in the following area's;
- ESE - Exceptional Student Education grades K - 12
- Middle School Integrated Curriculum grades 5 - 9
- Earth and Space Science grades K - 12
2008 to 2009 - I am currently enrolled at the American Intercontinental University where by next July I will earn my Master's Degree in Education, with a concentration in Leadership of Educational Organizations.
