SERVICE LEARNING

                                  GIRLS GROUP

          The goal of The Girls Group is to provide a safe environment for the high school girls of Pathways Academy to learn about and discuss issues that are of importance and interest to them.  We have had guest speakers come in and talk about their life experiences in hopes that the young ladies of our school could observe that all sorts of people have issues, dilemmas and drama.  The important thing is learning how to control your reactions to them and not let the little dramas interfer with your life and your success. Previously, the Girls Group has enjoyed Discovery Trips into the community, picnics at the beautiful parks in Flagler County and lunch on the town. This year, Ms McNamee and I are taking it to the next level, with a more hands on approach and are conducting seminars in health,  fitness, cooking and crafts.  More importantly, we are focusing on raising funds for the Resource Center, a food bank for people in need right here in Flagler County. 

We are looking forward to an exciting and successful year!
