Dear Students and Families,                                                            

       Welcome my website.  I’m excited about the opportunity to get to know you, and I’m looking forward to a happy and productive school year. 

      A little about myself, I am starting my 5th year in Flagler County School District, and third year at OKES. Previously I taught at BTMS for two years in special education.  I moved from Rockford, IL when my husband retired.  I taught thirteen years in grades from 2nd to 6th grae, in both regular and special education in the Rockford School District #205, before relocating to Flagler County.  I received my Bachelor Degree of Child Development in 1990  and my Master Degree in Arts in Special Education in 1998 from Rockford College, Rockford, Illinois.

       Curriculum areas we will focus on this year include Reading, Language Arts, and Social Studies in my room . You will have Mrs. Sigler for Math and Science classes. . 

       Studies do show that parental involvement in a child’s education is one of the strongest indicators of student achievement. We hope you will make it a priority this year to attend as many school-sponsored events as possible. It is important that we work together as a team to make this a success school year for your child .
