Homework Homework in Kindergarten? Yes, homework can be a very useful tool to reinforce a concept learned in school. I will be assigning homwork on a weekly basis. Each Monday your child will bring home an assignment. The completed packet is due back in school each Friday. |
Please have your child work as independently as possible to instill good work habits and a sense of responsibility. Please provide a "special" place and time to work on the assignment. Kindergarten children need encouragement and guidance as they practice writing letters and numbers. Please remind your child to try his/her best and keep work neat and clean. It is important that children learn to have pride in their work at an early age. Also, help your child to pace him/herself. A Kindergarten child should not spend more thatn 10-15 minutes per night on written homework. Therefore, homework packets should not be completed all in one evening. Please complete one sheet (both sides) each night. Then spend at least 15 minutes per night reading with your child.
Thank you for your cooperation and support!
