Please read every day!
Students are expected to read a minimum of 30 minutes every day. Reading should be from a variety of materials including chapter books, letters or journals, news articles, magazine articles, or information on the web. It is also important to read items in daily life such as a job application, advertisements, charts and graphs, phone books, and other materials that are needed to be successful in every day activities.
- Additional Homework Activities
Following is an excellent resource for activities your child can do at home to support what we are learning in 5th grade this year. While these are not required, they are certainly helpful in developing further knowledge and skills.

Important Note:
Students are expected to be responsible for completing their own homework and submitting it on time. Students should have all of the knowledge and skills needed to complete each assignment and should not be "struggling" with homework. I encourage the students to come see me if they are having difficulty or need further guidance with an assignment.
Each assignment must be submitted with the first and last name of the student written in print in the upper left hand corner of the paper. Papers not following this format will not be accepted.
Thank you!
