Math Strategies:
When reading word problems :
1) Read slowly and think about what it is that the question is asking you.
2) Re-read the problem and let it soak into your thought process.
3) Underline all key/important information that will help you solve the problem.
4) If it is a math word problem you can count on performing a mathmatical solution, so think how to best set up the math in order to produce the most logical result. If it requires:
- Difference - subtract
- Sum - add
- Product - multiply
- Quotient - divide
