We look forward to a fabulous year with you and your student. We have created a 4 teacher team that your student will be rotating to this year. We feel this will really help them transition into middle school next year. The rotation also allows each of us to plan curriculum for one subject area, which will allow us to really develop a wonderful content-based, student-friendly environment.
Mr. Araujo will be teaching Math. Each student will see Mr. Araujo daily for math content. Students will also attend computer lab for math during this time.
Mrs. Campanella will be teaching Science. Each student will see Mrs. Campanella daily. Students will attend the Science Lab regularly.
Mrs. Laughren and Mrs. Adair will share Reading/ Lang. Arts/ S. Studies daily. Students will either be with Mrs. Laughren or Mrs. Adair depending on their homeroom teacher.

Curriculum Overview
Students in 5th grade will be busy learning about an array of topics to include, but not limited to, the following:
Math- division, fractions, and decimals
Science- practice of science (process), force& motion, matter, life science, and space.
Reading/ Lang. Arts- comprehension skills, vocabulary knowledge, and written language conventions
S. Studies- American history to include the election process and voting
