Welcome!  

I have been a teacher for 7 years.  I graduated from Northern Illinois University with a BS in Education.  After college I decided to work in the Horticulture/Landscape Industry.  I owned my own business and greenhouses. I was a commerical grower for local garden centers and landscapers. 

In 2003, we moved to Florida after tiring of the snow and cold weather.   I returned to teaching as an Agriscience Teacher.  I just received my Masters in Science from the University of Florida. Go GATORS!  I am also actively involved in the Florida Nursery and Landscape Growers Association.

I have 3 children, Samantha, Mattie and Abbey who all attend Flagler County Schools.  I have been a teacher at Matanzas going on 3 years.  I teach Agriscience, Horticulture, Landscaping and Biology. 

My goal for this year is to get my students industry certified with the necessary work skills to suceed in the workforce and to gain the academic skills to succeed in college.
