Reading, speaking, writing, listening, role play, cooperative activities, daily journal, internet activities, media projects, drawing, games, video & audio activities, culture & grammar DVDs, poetry, songs, cultural capsules.
Classroom rules
1. Be respectful. 2. Stay on task. 3. Be prepared. 4. Be on time. 5. No food, drink or gum.

MADAME/SEÑORA MILNES’S GUIDELINES FOR SUCCESSFUL FRENCH & SPANISH STUDENTS
1. The student is responsible for obtaining and retaining all handouts containing materials relevant to the course.
2. The student is to bring books, pencil, pen, notebook and any other materials needed for class. (BE PREPARED FOR CLASS. YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO GO TO THE LOCKER FOR BOOKS, ETC.) Only dark blue or black ink is acceptable. Points will be deducted.
3. Make-up Policy: The student has the same number of days they were absent to make up their work. Absences must be EXCUSED.
4. The student is responsible for all quizzes and exams, both oral and written. The student will make-up quizzes, tests and exams by making special arrangements with the teacher.
5. The student is responsible for all instructions related to class assignments presented orally by the instructor.
6. The student is responsible for knowing all material covered or assigned in class. The student must study notes, vocabulary and assignments daily at home.
7. There is to be no gum chewing, eating candy or drinks in class. All food, gum and drinks will be disposed of prior to entering the classroom. Bottled water is allowed in class.
8. No disrespect toward the teacher or other student’s will be tolerated in this class.
Classroom Procedures Entering The Classroom
Tardy To Class v On time means you are in class when the bell rings. v Tardy means you enter the class after the bell rings
Restroom You have seven minutes between classes and a 30 minute lunch. Use that time to go to the restroom.

Returning Assignments I will return your assignments within one week. If you have any questions about your grade please come see me before or after school or during lunch.
Retake Policy If you are not satisfied with a test grade you may come to class for tutoring, then schedule a retake of the test within two weeks of receiving your first test grade. Your final grade will be an average of the two tests. Finding Out Grade Status Grading Criteria: 1. Oral Activities 20% 2. Class work/Homework 20% 3. Quizzes & Tests 20% 4. Projects & Presentations 20% 5. Mid-Term/Final Exam 20%
I will give you a printed progress report approximately once a week. If you have any questions about your grade please come see me before or after school or during lunch.
Student Responsibilities After An Absence Ø If you are absent you may access my website from any computer and find out the assignment(s) you missed. http://flaglerschools.com/teacher/milnesm/ Ø Assignments will also be posted on the calendar on the bulletin board. Ø Ask another student. Ø When you return to school come see me before or after school or during lunch. Ø For each day you are absent you have one day to make up that work. Ø If you missed a quiz or test the same guidelines apply.
Late, Missing or Incomplete Assignments v Homework that is one day late will be given half credit. v Homework that is more than one day late will not be accepted. v For the weekly packets: Each day late will be deducted 10 points. v Packets more than one week late will not be accepted.
