Class Rules:

Making The Right Choices:

Be on Time to Class:	At the bell, math materials out. Book bag in alcove, not near desks, purses underneath desks.
Come Prepared to Learn:	Bring SSS book, journal, pencils, and current assignment EVERYDAY.
Give Honest Effort:	Participate! Question and Instruct others.
Listen When Others are Speaking:	CLASSMATES and teacher! In partner, group, and whole class discussions.
Respect Towards Yourself and Others in Class:	Keep hands, feet, objects to yourself No put-downs, No name calling, No harassment (Threats!).

Teacher's Steps In Correction:

Level One: WARNING!	Teacher will suggest a better choice. No loss in grade.
Level Two: SECOND CHANCE!	Student will move seat: either new group or individual seat, instructor's decision. Teacher/Student conference during pre-dismissal.
Level Three: COOPERATION!	Removed from group community, and student writes a Letter of Ownership. Teacher/student conference and parent phone call.
Level Four: POOR CHOICE!	Student is escorted from class to ACE. Pink ACE Slip, and Parent conference requested.

For Interrupting Learning of Others in Class:

Severe Clause:

Level 4 with a Referral

Reasons:

Violent or Destructive Behavior,
Extreme Disrespect Towards Others, especially preventing others from learning or instructor from teaching, and/or Cheating on tests.
Tardies are Lunch Detention per Tardy. Skipping class is Referral.

I Gotta Go To The Bathroom!

1. In the 1st minute or Last 5 minutes of class Only

2. Student must have badge on and planner filled out

3. Use only the bathroom near the intersection.

4. If student does not have badge and planner,

Student should wait until passing period.

If emergency, then he/she may go, but must report to ACE after.
