       Hello, my name is Ms. Jennifer Shaw. I'm excited to be at Indian Trails for my eleventh year of teaching. This is my 3rd year as a Mustang, returning to Palm Coast after eight years of working and teaching in other areas. After earning my degree from Cal State San Marcos, I taught middle school for five years in California. I took the long route, and I stopped in North Carolina to teach high school algebra for three years before finally finding my way back home. I'm thrilled to be at the school that my son attended and having the opportunity to work with our Vice Principal Cathy Thomas, who was my son's favorite sixth grade math teacher.

 I teach an extremely interactive math class that encourages students to be active learners in enjoying solving the "mystery answers" to math problems. We do most work in class with partners and with groups. I encourage students to instruct as well as learn with others. We use white boards, both hand held and large on the wall, and make real world connections to where and when we would use this junk.
