Beginner Chorus

This group is open to all students who would like to learn how to sing properly.  It meets every day 4th period in room 269.  Students study the basics of music theory and history while performing a variety of songs.  This ensemble performs 2-4 times a year.  The uniform for this beginners group consists of black bottom (to the floor, including shoes) and a maroon Indian Trails Chorus T-shirt available for $13 from Mrs. Lo.

 

Intermediate Chorus

This group is open to all 7th & 8th grade treble voices who enjoy singing and performing.  Auditions are held every spring for vocal placement, students new to the school who would like  to join the group should contact Mrs. Lo to arrange for an audition time.  This ensemble performs 3-5 times a year and wears choir dresses which Mrs. Lo will loan you.

 

Women's Choir

This group is open to all 7th & 8th grade students who pass an audition which includes sight singing, solo singing, and proper vocal technique.  Also, students in this ensemble must show a satisfactory understanding of music theory as judged by a passing score on the Middle Grades All-State Music Theory exam.  This group meets every day during 5th period.  This group performs frequently throughout the school year and may travel.  The uniform for this group is choir dresses which Mrs. Lo will loan you.  (Chorus members who wish to try for this ensemble mid-year may do so in December.  See Mrs. Lo before the winter break if you would like to do this.)

 

Mustang Men

This group is open to all male students who would like to learn how to sing properly.  It meets every day during 5th period and will perform both alone and in conjunction with the Women's Choir.  The uniform for this group is black dress pants, black dress shoes, and a white tuxedo shirt and bow tie (the last two items will be provided for you).
