Periods 2, 4, and 6:

1. Go to the TEST PRACTICE section of my website. (You will need to scroll down to the bottom of the page.) Complete the Chapter 1 practice activities.

ADVANCED CLASSES:

1. Change your science fair topic statement into a question.

Example:

Pheromones influence the dispersal and/or growth of invasive plant species.

Do pheromones influence the growth of invasive plant species?

2. Click the link provided below. Use the the online data base links to research your topic. In the example above, it would be important to find out more about "pheromones" and "invasive plants". Write a minimum of 5 facts gathered from each internet source.

3. Record the author, the title, the URL address and the date of the document or download for each source. (See "How to Cite Internet Sources") You will need a minimum of 5 internet sources.

3. Keep a list of "new vocabulary words" that relate to your topic.

4. Define each word.
