Directions:
- Go to the web site below to become acquainted with each part of a basic compound microscope.
Basic Parts of a Compound Microscope
- Go to the next web site where you will find a virtual microscope. Read the directions before attempting to view the slides. Draw a diagram for each slide you view. Note the lens power observed for each diagram.
The Virtual Compound Microscope
- Go to the next web site to view organisms that live in waste water. Be sure to click on the video microscope to see the specimens in action! Choose the most interesting specimen and draw a digram of it. Write the organism's name under the diagram.
