Homework and Assignments

Homework is usually assigned Monday through Thursday. The student must complete all homework assigned and return it the next day. School policy allows for one letter grade to be deducted for each day an assignment is late. Upon returning to school after an excused absence, the student will be allowed two school days for each day missed to complete the work. 

Note: Students are responsible for recording their homework assignments and exams, in their Interactive Notebooks.

                        Provisions for Improving Grades

Opportunties for allowing students to recover from a low or failing grade will be allowed when all required work has been completed and the student has demonstrarted a solid effort to meet all course requirements. Extra credits will not be given, but efforts will be made to allow the student to makeup a low or failing grade.

                                    Current Events

Students will participate in class discussions. The students will read and report on various forms of media to gather and share newsworthy information and  to express  ideas before the class. This will be done to help the students improve their reading. listening and speaking abilities.
