| Course Description: Business is an 18-week, single period course offered to 7th and 8th grade students at ITMS. The purpose of this course is to expose students to a wide variety of computer applications. Projects and assignments will incorporate word processing, spreadsheets, computer graphics, keyboarding, Internet/World Wide Web research and presentations. 8th grade students will also research career possibilities, which will facilitate the selection of major areas of study, based on individual interests, goals and abilities. |

| Grading System: Flagler County School grading scale is as follows: A 90 to 100 B 80 to 89 C 70 to 79 D 60 to 69 F 59 and below |
| Class expectations: Students are expected to adhere to a high standard of ethics as related to the use of computers. Students are not free to “surf” the net, download files, check e-mail, enter chat rooms, or make changes to the set up of the computer without prior teacher approval. |
Class Rules: Be in your seat and ready to begin when the tardy bell rings. |
| Consequences for choosing not to follow the rules: We will be following the Positive Behavior Plan at Indian Trails Middle School. |

| Identification (ID) Policy: Indian Trails Middle School is a closed campus and in order to further satisfy state and school board requirements for student supervision, it is mandatory that students wear their Indian Trails identification badges at all times when on campus. Failure to wear the badge may result in disciplinary action. |
| Homework/Late work policy: All assigned homework/projects are due when assigned. If absent, work will be accepted according to the attendance policy as seen on page 6 of the planner. Late work will be dropped one letter grade for each class not submitted. |
