Reading is important in all subject areas. In American History we will read from the textbook, primary source documents, assorted articles, and historical novels. Over the course of the year, I will place reading activities on this page to help the learner get the most from each of the readings we complete in class or at home.
SSNQR Notes Instructions (Survey, Setup, Notes, Questions, Review)
Mrs. Baker-Chalick American History- Divide paper into two columns lengthwise. The 1st column should be about 1/4th of the page and the second column should be the remaining 3/4th of the page.
- Complete SSNQR Notes for each assigned section in the textbook.
- Complete the Section Assessment. You do not have to do the Recall questions. You must do all of the Comprehension questions. Choose 1 of the Critical Thinking and Writing questions.
- SSNQR Notes for each section will be worth 40 points on the notebook grade sheet. (20 for the notes and 20 for the section assessment).
- Keep the SSNQR notes in your history notebook. Be sure to review these notes before quizzes and tests. Keep all SSNQR notes in your notebook until e final exam.
