| LETTER TO PARENTS 2008-2009 SCHOOL YEAR.
Dear Parent or Guardian:
The student who delivered this letter to you is currently registered in my class for the first term of the 2008-2009 school year at Flagler Palm Coast High School. I teach a number of subjects and this letter is generic for all my classes, and I would love to tell you what we are going to do if you are interested. I will describe how you can learn about the course content shortly.
In general terms I want you to know that my primary goals for your student are simple. Success in this class I want them to learn all they can and have success at the next level whatever that is for them. They have been told four things about the class and my objectives for them.
1. I am here for them! 2. I want them to be successful. 3. We are not adversaries; we are a team in the learning process. 4. Being here, and on time IS important.
Some things you may want to know
Ø I do not give a lot of homework (they are not lying) Ø I allow makeup work. (If I want them to be successful this only stands to reason) Ø I would like for you to be part of their success!
