  • Computing for College and Careers Students learn to use and apply the programs in the Microsoft 2007 office suite.  Students learn about the office environment and competencies needed. Students use floridaechoices.com and take surveys to determine the skills they have and compare them to potential careers in their future.  They prepare a research paper on the job of their choice. 

 

  • Business and Entrepreneurial Principles Students participate in operating Café DECA.  The students perform all the duties in running this school business from ordering the product, selling during bull-dog break, advertising, counting and depositing the money and calculating inventory and profit.   Students read the book, Rich Dad Poor Dad along with playing the game Cash Flow.  This game teaches the students how to save money, purchase passive investments and eventually become rich.   Students participate in job shadowing opportunities. 
 
  • Business Ownership Students learn how to write an effective business plan with the help of our community business partners (S.C.O.R.E. and Enterprise Flagler).  Students participate in operating Café DECA and develop plans to run another group business before and after school.
