Flagler Palm Coast Automotive Technology
Grades: 9-12
Course Description: This course incleudes classroom instruction and hands-on laboratory performance of the basic tasks in the initial training required for employment in the automotive service field as identified by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF). The course includes the development of basic technical skills required in steering and suspension, electrical and electronics, brakes, engine repair, and engine performance maintenance. The development of core skills that the students should master is integrated throughout the course. Minimum performance requirements for the course are based on successful completion according to the NATEF Automobile Program Standards.
