Syllabus Algebra 1BMrs. Mullinax437-7540 Ext.1051Portable 16Email:mullinaxf@flaglerschools.comClassroom Websitewww.flaglerschools.com/teacher/mullinaxf TEXTBOOK/LESSON PLANNING Algebra 1; Larson, Boswell, Kanold, Stiff; McDougal Littell, 2001.  We will be covering much of the content in chapters 7-12.  Though this textbook will be the main resource used for this class, I will also be using various other materials and technology to teach my lessons.  I will also be sure that emphasis is placed on the Florida Standards for this course and FCAT-tested content. GRADES Students will be graded on a point system, specifically described on a separate sheet.  In addition to the basic points for grades, there will be opportunities for extra credit.  Also, make-up work is accepted and late work may be submitted for lesser points. RULES/CLASSROOM PROCEDURES   In this class we will follow the school rules listed in the student conduct book in regards to tardies, dress code, behavior, etc….In addition to school rules there are some specific classroom procedures that will need to be followed.  These will be reviewed in detail during the first day of class.   SUPPLIES Students are asked to bring in the following supplies by the fourth day of class. one 3 ring binder ( at least 1”) notebook paper (loose) pencils (Yellow, #2 are best.) one set of dividers (5 tabs) (1)            WARM UPS (W-UP) (2)            NOTES(3)            HOMEWORK/CLASSWORK (HW/CW)(4)            TESTS/QUIZZES (T/Q)(5)            EXTRA CREDIT/ MISCELLANEOUS (EC/MISC.)  calculator  Extra CreditBook coverBox tissue
