In order to better serve my students and to give more immediate feedback regarding assignments, all projects, papers, and classwork will now be graded in the student's presence and recorded in full view of the student in a conventional hard copy gradebook. I will not be 'collecting' work for grading; students will be responsible for holding work in their 12 x 18" classroom portfolios until it is graded. All work will be graded by portfolio review. The students will meet with me individually for grading and constructive criticism. In this way students will learn to be more responsible for keeping track of assignments once they are completed.
