Principal Winnie Oden has been in the field of education for the last 26 years. She has worked in both the private and public sectors. Currently, she is in her third year as Principal of Buddy Taylor Middle School in Flagler County. Her first year as Principal, the school received an A rating from the State. Ms. Oden has been at Buddy Taylor for the last 9 years serving in a variety of job functions--math and reading teacher, Dean of Discipline and Assistant Principal. She has a Master's degree in Educational Administration and a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She has worked as a Diversity Trainer - A World of Difference, Anti-Defamation League training in issues of facilitation, prejudice, working through assumptions, sensitivity, managing tension and conflict in the work environment, and avoiding stereotypical behavior. She has also worked at Daytona Beach Community College as an Adjunct Instructor teaching Cultural Diversity and Introduction to Education classes.
