Chorus:
The BTMS Beginning Chorus and the Concert Choir BOTH received Superior Ratings at District 6 Music Performance Assessment Festival in Deltona.  This is an unusually fantastic showing as it is not common for a beginning group to earn a superior.  They also earned superiors in sight reading.

Congratulations to Carrie H. and Boyd F.  who were chosen to perform with the Florida All-State Honor Choir.  They performed with the top musicians from the state of Florida in a thrilling concert in Tampa on January 12. 

 

The BTMS FFA Forestry Team secured their 8th District Title on September 13th, 2007 at Silver River State Park in Marion County.  Team members competed in various areas of Forest Management including general knowledge, dendrology (tree identification), identification of insects, diseases and tools, as well as estimating the volume of lumber in a stand of timber.  Team members excelled in all areas of the competition.  The team included Jessica Haire, Morgan Lambert, Miranda Kuleski, and Austin Davis.  Team alternates were Daniel Parker and Ashleigh Neeley.  The team was coached by Advisor R.D. Davis, Erik Kuleski, Greg Dunn, Mike Kuypers and Kraig Jones.  Team members will compete for the State Title October 18 and 19th in Perry, Florida.
