Welcome Back to the start of a new school year. I am no longer teaching at Belle Terre Elementary School. I will be working with grades 6-8 at Indian Trails Middle School. Our classroom is #142.
I mailed Welcome Back letters with class supply lists to all 12 students on our roster. In case you have not received yours, please view the New Year Information page.
I would like to tell you a bit about myself. I was born in New York, but have lived in Florida since 1979. I graduated from FPCHS in 1982. After 12 years in the field of dentistry, I returned to school to earn my teaching degree. In May of 1996 I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Exceptional Education. I am certified for grades K-12 in the areas of Specific Learning Disabilities and Mental Retardation. I have had additional training in the areas of Behavior and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
I love working with individuals with disabilities. It is a vocation which I was born to do. Each year I teach I learn from my students as much as they learn from me.
Our 6th grade orientation is being held this Tuesday, August 12th.
Though I was originally scheduled for the morning session my slot has
been moved to 1:30 that afternoon. I hope to see my 6th graders then,
but I know there will not be unfamiliar faces. All four of my 6th graders
were with me at BTES last year.
