Each year, our faculty and students are actively involved in a fundraiser known as "Jump Rpe for Heart" sponsored by the American Heart Association and the AAPHERD (association for Physical Education Teachers). The money raised goes directly to the AHA to help provide finances for research and medical care for patients with heart problems. Each year we try to raise more money than the previous academic year. Last year we raised over five thousand dollars, so we have a lot of hard work ahead to raise more money. It is our desire at BTES to make students aware of the risks of heart problems and give them an avenue to prevent cardiac problems as they grow up by performing various aerobic activities that they truly enjoy. Ask your kids how much they like to jump rope with music. Parents are encouraged to join in and jump rope for your hearts also.
