Getting to Know Mrs. Reynolds
| ||
This little Long Island girl moved into Palm Coast in 1989 and I have loved it from the moment I unpacked my things! This is just the place for me: quiet neighborhoods, warm weather with no snow, close to the beach, and lots of great people! I'm home! I have taught grades pre-K to fourth, but my love is first grade. The children come into first grade armed with basic reading and writing skills, and it is my job to inspire them. Hands-on really means hands on in my room! If we are studying fish, know for sure there will be a real fish in class for us to poke and prod and investigate. Learning is a sensory experience here, and you may even have to eat it to learn about it!

My husband Bob and I share a love of the outdoors and most of our vacations consist of hiking, camping or just plain walking around our beautiful country. Our children, Brian and Theresa, enjoy adventure and always look forward to each excursion in order to climb a mountain or slide down a freezing cold waterfall! |

Teaching came into my life in a round-about way, but I couldn't think of any other profession I'd rather be in. I myself love to read and I devour books as quickly as I can. I want to share that love of reading with the children. Learning new and exciting things has always captivated my attention and my desire is to share that knowledge with others. Along the way, I may read a remarkable new book or learn something interesting. Wouldn't that be wonderful if I could share those experiences with your child? I look forward to a year filled with fun, adventure and lots of learning! | |
