
Teachers Note: Below you will find the lists of sight words that your child should know by the end of this year. They are identified as sight words because your child should be able to read and write them without having to sound them out. This is very important because these words come up frequently in all texts and some of them do not follow the basic phonics rules that your child uses to sound out unknown words. It would be a great idea to make flash cards of these words or see the activities section to find more great ways for your child to practice their sight words.
