At BTES we believe PE should not only be beneficial but also fun. Because of this, we try to add new ideas and equipment to our program every year. In the past few years we have added new soccer goals, basketball systems, a kickball/baseball backstop and our very own Rock Climbing Wall. We love being able to have the students try new things every year that will benefit their health and be able to have a fun time doing it. | |
This year we will continue our Field Day event, along with Jump Rope for Heart and our newest activity, Bike Safety Week. During Bike week the older students will be able to ride bikes at school and go on a bike riding field trip off campus. We also continue to be active in the Presidential Fitness testing program that is performed by all students nation wide. | ![]() |
This year we are also proud to have added several new ways our students can improve their wellness by using programs and equipment they are already familiar with but new to our school. The 5th grade class of last year raised money along with the PTO and we now have a brand new beach volleyball court. We have new tennis racquets that some of the students have already used this year and love it. We also have a new Dance Dance Revolution system that we will begin using with all the students after the beginning of the year. Our last piece of new equipment were our new Double Dutch ropes (now if we only knew how to use them).
